Shade's Friend and Fear part 1

This is the story of Shade. A child born shy and with a fear. He was fairly average where he lived. He was shy while young and had his fears but he later became more social. But it wasn't until Shade made a friend that he wasn't so scared of people. But it took longer for him to lose his fear of wolves and dogs.

One day while Shade was about four he and his mother Jamie went to the park. However Shade stayed close to his mother scared of all the people and the pet dogs. Jamie tried to keep Shade from being so scared.

That same day Luna, a good friend of Jamie, along with her husband Kage (Shadow) were also in the park with their twins Mason and Carmen. Luna had spotted Jamie while they were walking and decided to go over to chat with Jamie. But mason started to tug on his mother's skirt wanting to follow.

"Mason, do you wanna come with mommy?" Luna asked with a loving smile. Mason nodded his head. Luna took Mason's hand and turned to Kage.

"Can you watch Carmen while I go talk to Jamie? Me and Mason will catch up later." Luna said as Kage nodded taking his daughter's hand.

Kage and Carmen walked off while Luna and Mason walked towards Jamie and Shade. Jamie looked up seeing Luna and smiled. Luna smiled back while Mason waved hello. But Shade tried hiding behind his mother.

"Hi Luna! Hi Mason!" Jamie said as Mason smiled.

"Hi Jamie! It's been a while since we chatted." Luna said cheerful.

"Well how are the twins?" Jamie asked smiling at Mason.

"Well they maybe young but they already seem to have grown into their powers. Carmen's been running with her dad lately, and mason has been moving his things around." Luna replied as Mason spotted Shade hiding behind Jamie. Shade got scared hiding again.

"What about shade? How's he?….Where is he?" Luna asked looking around for Shade. Jamie found Shade behind her pulling him forward so Luna could see him.

"He's right here. He's been hiding while we've been here. He already got his powers too. But they seem odd. He does all sorts of different things. I think he controls shadows." Jamie said while Shade tried walking away. Mason followed Shade who climbed into a tree.

"He sure seems shy hiding and walking away. But Mason isn't one to walk away from people." Luna said laughing a bit. Mason climbed into the tree sitting by Shade who was scared.

They then hear trees starting to snap. Both kids looked towards the trees seeing one starting to fall. Mason smiled and started to glow a faint bluish. The tree started to glow standing straight. Shade looked at Mason who smiled and Shade smiled back. More trees started to crack about to break but Mason was able to keep them from falling. Shade then unknowingly started to break a tree that was too big for Mason to keep from falling. The tree fell making a loud crash.

Luna and Jamie turned their heads. Luna got worried for Kage and Carmen.

"I guess that's my qui to leave. I should see that Kage and Carmen are alright." Luna as she started walking towards Mason in the tree. She grabbed Mason and went off to find Kage and Carmen.
